Feeling Slow.

14 MayIMG 8963

Jamie Thomson.

I was feeling a little slow when I looked out the window early this morning.  Heavy grey clouds with a sprinkling of rain dampened my enthusiasm to get out there.  But its going to clear later on this morning to produce a couple of fine days ahead.  Swell wise...  its even smaller than yesterday and its barely a foot.  Most places were non existant wave wise.  The wind did strengthen from the west around 8.30am from the west making the swell hold up a little, making it look bigger than it was.  Swell to remain small until a new pulse is expected Friday  H. 11.02am  L. 4.31pm.

cw17May

Thursday
Small surf with residual swell 1ft on open breaks. SW winds increase into night. WIND: NW wind 10kt tending WSW and rising 15-20kt.

Friday
Small early due to waves pushing from SW direction. New alongshore short range southerly swell fills in at top south facing areas of southern coast, progressively increasing as waves shifts from SW to S direction. Rising 2ft to 3-4ft lumpy textured conditions on south exposed areas into afternoon, tending smaller elsewhere due to limiting swell angle. WIND: W to SW 10-15kt

Saturday
S swell fills in and increases from extreme southerly direction, varying wave heights from exposed breaks to protected regions. Potential to increase 3-5ft and possible 6ft sets on south facing breaks as swell peaks late, tending smaller 3ft range along less exposed breaks. WIND: WSW 5-10kt early tending light to variable in afternoon

Sunday
