Slingshot

The Australian Open of Surfing finished yesterday with a bang.  The waves were a pumping 3 foot, the best conditions the competition has ever seen.  Young Brazilian, Jesse Mendes took out the mens and Hawaiian, Malia Manuel the womens.  It was a fitting end to a great  Qualifying Series event.  The southerly held off enough for them to complete and it looks like getting to gale force over the next few days.  This will limit the surfing options to the southern ends such as Dee Why and Collaroy.    Have a great start to your week and stay safe in the rough conditions.
