International Surfing Day
Where it all began
20 June 2019
I headed down to where surfing began all those years ago around 1915 at Freshwater Beach on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. The Surfrider Foundation in conjunction with the Harbord Diggers Club held a free surf, beach clean and coffees. Come down to the Diggers and see our photos being displayed on their screens along with surfing movies all day. I took a few pics this morning which will also be displayed today. As for the swell this morning it is bigger than yesterday and there were a few good sized 4 footers coming through. Have a great ISD.

Get to the Harbord Diggers for the our photo display.
