Inversion.
10 March 2016
t’s been a funny first half of the week. The temps have been fairly high and there has been a lot of haze about. This is usually caused by High Pressure systems and we have two systems very close to us. But whilst I was surfing this morning around 9.15am, a sea mist rolled in you could not see more than 50 metres in any direction. You couldn’t see the waves coming or where the beach was. This is caused by what they call a temperature inversion where warm air is trapped within layers of cool air, with the sea being one of those layers. It hung around for about an hour before clearing. Then we could see the 2 foot waves on offer. Which were quickly swallowed by the high and soon became a shore break. Low time is the surfing time. Can everybody give a shoutout to @mrsspoy, my partner in photog crime, as it’s her birthday…. #loveyoudarling #sunrisesunsetfrother
