I slept in due to the rain and the onshore winds as I thought that I wasn’t missing much. After enjoying a morning coffee with Mrs SPoY I noticed that the wind had swung offshore, so I made my daily journey to the beach an hour or so later than usual. I discovered the waves are in the 2 – 3 foot range being brushed nicely by a westerly offshore. So it was on, then off… shore this morning. The winds will stay offshore for a few more days into the weekend. This is due to a low pressure system hanging nicely off the coast heading towards NZ. This may cause an increase in swell, so looks like a good weekend for surfing. See you on the other side.
